Deck selection is incredibly important this week. The first list is built to capitalize on what is working right now, though I hope it does not last. ## Need I Say More Bets on the Star-Lord Into MODOK Hela Line The appeal is the spread behind it. If the deck’s plan lands, I do not know where the power will go, though chances are there will be a lot of it. [Death](https://itsguestgaming.com/marvel-snap/cards/death), Infinaut, [Blink](https://itsguestgaming.com/marvel-snap/cards/blink), and [Iron Lad](https://itsguestgaming.com/marvel-snap/cards/iron-lad) are all part of the discussion around how the list keeps producing threatening outcomes, with maybe even a [Morbius](https://itsguestgaming.com/marvel-snap/cards/morbius) for good measure. With the Star-Lord on turn five into MODOK Hela on turn six line, the deck has six important cards that can drop or appear, and five of those six show up every time. Among the cards remaining, Death is at eight cost and Infinaut is at six cost. [Howard the Duck](https://itsguestgaming.com/marvel-snap/cards/howard-the-duck) is what gives the list a little more accuracy. Dropping Howard on turn two can tell me whether I need to draw more. [Crystal](https://itsguestgaming.com/marvel-snap/cards/crystal) belongs because the list is completely committed to its one big payoff. If I do not execute that plan, I retreat. If it lands, the power can go in unpredictable places, but there is likely to be a lot of it. That makes Need I Say More important even for players who never queue it. It is on ladder, and it is important to know about. The list has a lot of big cards that [Gambit](https://itsguestgaming.com/marvel-snap/cards/gambit) can't kill. ## [Quicksilver](https://itsguestgaming.com/marvel-snap/cards/quicksilver) and [Domino](https://itsguestgaming.com/marvel-snap/cards/domino) No Longer Mean Only [Wiccan](https://itsguestgaming.com/marvel-snap/cards/wiccan) The second list is a variation built around Quicksilver and Domino. I describe it as a Wiccanless Wiccan deck because it follows a Wiccan-style setup without needing Wiccan. Quicksilver and Domino are no longer an automatic Wiccan tell. Quicksilver and Domino are there to guarantee a bigger card. Board space is the name of the game in this Wiccanless Wiccan deck. The deck is incredibly strong if I can manage board space. I expect to see variations of the deck this weekend because of the weekend missions. ## I Like Purples Is Built for Answers and Big Lines I named the third list I Like Purples. I want a counter deck with tall characters and cards that can provide a lot of value repeatedly. I can play [Cosmo](https://itsguestgaming.com/marvel-snap/cards/cosmo) early, stack big in one lane, then play [Stardust](https://itsguestgaming.com/marvel-snap/cards/stardust) with priority in a deck meant to be a counter. I also want the deck to be safe, with a couple of different answers and a couple of unique play lines. I also wanted a ridiculous amount of points and a little bit of unknown. I’m playing [Thanos](https://itsguestgaming.com/marvel-snap/cards/thanos), so I have a lot of stones. [Gambit Horseman of Death](https://itsguestgaming.com/marvel-snap/cards/gambit-horseman-of-death) is really easy in this deck because I’m playing Thanos. I like [Infinity Ultron](https://itsguestgaming.com/marvel-snap/cards/infinity-ultron) with Thanos in this deck. Caliban gives me another direction because I’m sitting on a ridiculous amount of four-cost-and-higher cards. Infinity [Ultron](https://itsguestgaming.com/marvel-snap/cards/ultron) is strong when I curve into it. The opening hand will really dictate whether I am leaning more toward a Gambit line or if I am going to lean more toward a Caliban line. I also value Drax's Avatar of Life in this style of deck. For Gambit Horseman of Death, I need Infinity Ultron, Iron Patriot, or Valentina. I lean toward Valentina. The larger point is that the Thanos shell wants many things on the board, leaving me with multiple play lines and room to recover. ## Keep the Choice Simple for Your Pocket Meta Even if you do not play these three decks, keep it simple for your pocket meta.
